This publication is the first integrated study on Sino-Sudanese relations which covers a number of topics on the nature of the relations between the two countries, the extent to which China adheres to its slogans on its cooperation plans with countries of the developing world, the nature of China’s interests in the African region, and the reasons why Sudan failed to benefit from these relations to achieve comprehensive development.
The author relies on preliminary resources that he collected while working as a diplomat in the Sudanese Foreign Ministry. This enabled him to follow up on the Sudanese-Chinese relations and access to many of its files that he meticulously examined.
