The Center for Arab Unity Studies organized a symposium on Arab-Chinese relations to discuss these relations, their historical dimensions and ways of benefiting from them, developing and deepening them in line with the major shifts in the international system that enhance the objective conditions for deepening Arab-Chinese relations at various economic, cultural and scientific levels, especially in light of China’s position in the world economy, a position that will inevitably reflect itself on its geopolitical and cultural status in the world,
it is therefore pushing it to further geo-economic and geopolitical networking with many regions of the world, and comes the project of “one belt – one road” launched by China in this context. This book presents the proceedings of the symposium on Arab-Chinese relations held by the Center for Arab Unity Studies in cooperation with Shanghai University, which was held in Beirut on 21-22 February 2017 and was attended by a group of Chinese, Arab and Western researchers specialized in Chinese affairs.
