For long, the relationship between man and his environment has been relatively balanced. Man’s abilities to exploit natural resources were harmonized with those of his environment. As the population grew and nature’s resources were further exploited, and due to the necessity of consuming that spiraled into an over consumption of environmental resources, the relationship between man and his environment was disrupted. The over exploitation and depletion of environmental resources caused major destruction in the plant and animal kingdoms, which ultimately caused drastic and dangerous changes in the climate system.
