The Center for Arab Unity Studies published the book Impact of Arab Revolutions on the Arab Regional Order, by Dr. Fattouh Haikal .

The Arab regional system, since its official inception in 1945, has gone through stages of development that are mainly related to articulate and distinct events that cast their clear effects on this system, its capabilities, internal balances, and regional and international relations, such as: the 1948 Nakba; the July 23, 1952 revolution in Egypt and the national tidal wave that followed; and the defeat of the year 1967; October war 1973, and the subsequent signing of the Camp David Accords and the Egyptian-Israeli Peace Treaty in 1979; the Second Gulf War in 1990; the events of September 11, 2001 and the subsequent US invasion and occupation of Iraq in 2003.

And if every event or development of these has left its mark on the Arab regional system, then the wave of Arab revolutions and popular uprisings in the last decade undoubtedly represents one of the important stages of transformation that this system has gone through, and is still going through, in light of what these revolutions and uprisings have produced such as changes in the overall Arab regional scene.

This study examines the impact of the revolutions and popular uprisings that some Arab countries have witnessed since late 2010 on the Arab regional system in terms of the nature of this system and its internal structure, its identity, its institutions and its main issues, the balance of power within it, the patterns of its internal and external alliances, and its relationship with its regional and international environments; in an attempt To create an interpretive framework to understand the transformations that this regime has undergone in the context of this wave of revolutions and uprisings, and to try to know its future in light of the results and developments that have been produced.
