The Center for Arab Unity Studies published the fifth edition of the book The Religious Dimension of the American Policy Regarding the Arab – Zionist Conflict: The Roots of the Evangelical Fundamentalist Movement by Dr. Youssef El-Hassan.
This book examines the religious dimension of the US policy towards the Arabs in general, and the Arab-Zionist conflict in particular, by presenting and analyzing the Zionist trends in the fundamentalist evangelical movement- which represents an essential element in providing a convenient environment to the Zionist-Jewish influence, and the consolidation of a set of biased opinions against Arabs among American public opinion, and in the “Middle East” policies of the United States of America; which has led, directly or indirectly, to alignment with Israel and its Zionist movement.
The book aims to reveal the relationship of the contemporary American fundamentalist Christian movement to the Palestinian cause and to raise interest in this relationship, and to provide a detailed treatment of this non-Jewish side of Zionism, an aspect that still receives attention in studies and research related to the Zionist movements and their impact on American society and politics- especially American foreign policy in the Middle East and towards the Arab-Israeli conflict. Therefore, the publication of this book comes to enrich the Arab Library with a serious scientific research work that objectively illuminates the most important issues related to American foreign policy and the way of decision-making in the United States, especially towards Israel, the region and the Palestinian issue.
