This book aims to expose the standpoint of Sultan Abdul Hamid II about the activity of the Zionist movement in the Ottoman Sultanate and its relentless pursuit to buy land and build settlements in Palestine, and the manner in which he dealt with this file and the significance and consistency in preventing settlement expansion in Palestine and the extent of its ability to protect the land and sanctities there . The book contradicts the historical postulate that Sultan Abdul Hamid II was very careful to prevent the establishment of a Zionist entity in Palestine, showing that the Sultan’s public standpoint on this matter at the time reflected his keenness on his image rather than a serious stance against the Zionist project in Palestine.
