One of the the most comprehensive studies that thoroughly examines the Arab popular uprisings of 2011 and 2012. It individually addresses each case with respect to each nation’s own internal specificities, as well as in accordance with the mechanisms of popular self-mobilization. The research grounds itself in the analysis of crises of power conflicts, the failures of their economic policies and development programs, and in light of the new types of strategic mobilization that framed those uprisings, especially the youth movements and social media technologies.
