Arab Approaches to Conflict Resolution: Mediation, Negotiation and Settlement of Political Disputes

The Arab region and the Middle East in general, is one of the most conflict-prone regions of the world, whether generated by an internal dimension linked to various economic, political and cultural factors that the prevailing national state models in the region were unable to manage but often contributed to; or by an external dimension linked in turn to the importance of this region of geopolitical and strategic and economic interests as long as it is vulnerable to external interventions to prevent the people to make their own choices and self-determination.

This book seeks to provide a deep knowledge background to understand the dynamics of conflicts in the Arab region and the Middle East in general, and provide theoretical and practical approaches that help to develop mediation strategies that can contribute to put many crises in the region on the way to a solution.
