This is the seventh book of the complete works of contemporary Arab historian Abdel Aziz Al Douri, presented by the Center for Arab Unity Studies to the Arab reader. “The Historical Roots of Arab Nationalism” is an in-depth research on the beginnings of an Arab consciousness, the role of fatwa, self-assertion, and pride in the Arab sense, and the expansion of awareness that occurs from a restrained cultural level to a broader popular one, with a look on the beginnings of modern national awareness and the work required to establish a distinct Arab entity.
