The Center for Arab Unity Studies published the fourth edition of the book Prophecy and Politics by Abdelilah Belkeziz.
This book, which is a reading of the Muhammadan political biography, or on the political aspect of the Prophet’s project, not only stops at the constituent role played by the great Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in building a nation and in launching a great historical project, but also aims to investigate the formation of a political sphere in the first era of Islam.
In addition to its introduction to “Classical Sources of the Prophet’s Biography”, the book is structured around three sections. The first of these is entitled “From the Religious Community to the Political Community”, and concerns “The Political Question in the Islam of the First Sadr, Between Text and Ijtihad”, and “The Political Community and Power – Pre-Political Theory”. The second is entitled “The State of Dawah and Political Empowerment” and talks about “monotheism as a doctrine and society”, “war and negotiation”, and “integration and differentiation”. As for the third section, the researcher devoted it to the topic of “The City State and the Mechanisms of Construction”, in which he talked about the topic of “Political-Administrative Organization”, and “The City Economy: Booty and the Philosophy of Distribution”, to conclude with “Muhammadan charisma”.
