The Center for Arab Unity Studies published the English Book (also available in Arabic) The Reign of Artificial Intelligence A Heated Debate Between a Robot and a Human by Saad Mehio.
With the creation of DNA and quantum computers poised to transform technology by becoming millions of times more potent, human society is about to enter a new reign of artificial intelligence. This “Fourth Technological Revolution” will fundamentally alter our way of life, affecting everything from the environment to the idea of objective truth, the potential for artificial intelligence to become self-aware, and the dangers of strong capitalists using AI to impose a class-based, scientific dictatorship.
Simultaneously, the new human dream is being forme by both ancient and contemporary philosophers, who advocate for technology to serve ecology alongside knowledge and concience, in order to create a “new earth” environmentally pure, where a new human, is in harmony with mother nature and other species. This is what the young girl Molly expressed at the end of the book: “We will keep dreaming, and in the end, the dream will become reality,” while Nabil, the human interlocutor with AI, looked at her with “pain and hope,” his eyes filled with tears.
