The new Indian role in the Middle East: between American
Interests and Normalization………………………………….. Hosam Matar      14

As a rising international power with vibrant interests in Western Asia, India’s vision of strategic independence intersects with American interests in controlling the Middle East region through deterrence as well as through a series of partnerships and alliances from both inside and outside the region. Accordingly, Washington is alluring New Delhi into regional frameworks that are seemingly economic, yet they carry major security and geopolitical implications. Since 2014, India has been reformulating a progressive vision towards the Arab Gulf and West Asia in general, and has been developing its relations with the Zionist entity, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, at a time when its relations with Iran have declined due to American sanctions. Washington found in the Abraham Normalization Agreements an opportunity to integrate its main allies in the Arab Gulf and Israel.

Trials and research endeavours have confirmed the need to address the digital presence, of that of the Arab world in general, and the Arab Gulf in particular, through a new cognitive model capable of bringing together the various endeavours that have begun to unfold, to deal with the repercussions associated with the overwhelming presence of the digital cognitive map. This study deals with a new knowledge entity, the knowledge environment, at the International and Arab levels in general, and in the Arab Gulf countries in particular. Something, which has become an inevitable necessity in our current era, as it dictates the creation of a knowledge plan capable of establishing solid foundations for its presence, and manage all aspects of cognitive activities that prevail in this new environment.

Settlement in the West Bank: the project and
its outcomes…………………………………………… Ibrahim Samih Rabaia      59

In 2022, religious Zionism, which represents the Israeli far right, had reached power. This event was not sudden nor unexpected; rather, it reflects how deeply rooted this current is within the various political system institutions. A presence that is supported by the parliamentary base and various coalitions, aimed at realising the West Bank settlement project, transforming it from being a tool to support colonialism projects to be a key player in the political system. The far right succeeded in exploiting the institutions of this system to support settler goals. Recent pressures to impose changes in the Israeli judicial system and the structure of the institutions, reflect the change that is occurring within the entity.

Yemen between regional and
international conflicts………………………………… Ahmed Ahl Al-Ssaid      89

This study aims to provoke a discussion about the Yemeni revolution that toppled President Ali Abdullah Saleh. Yet, the reform process in the country was not achieved, as some Arab Gulf countries imposed a political settlement that did not translate into a comprehensive settlement that cover all the accumulated internal problems. Which led to the creation of a power struggle between the Houthi group and the Yemeni government, forcing international powers to intervene within the Yemeni conflict, and with these interventions, Yemen has become a space for regional and international conflicts.
