The Center for Arab Unity Studies published the book In the Beginning was the Transformation: An Analytical Reading of the Contemporary World by Dr. AbdeliIah Belkeziz.
In a world governed by major accelerating transformations, and great powers competing to strengthen their position- some are clinging to their hegemony over the world and others seeking liberation from that unilateral hegemony- risks and challenges are escalating on many parts of this world, threatened by various elements of power and its military, economic, political, cognitive and informational dimensions. The world in return is crowded with all kinds of contradictions of an explosive nature, ending in wild conflicts that might result in committing genocides.
In this book, the author presents a critical analysis of the most important transformations that the world is experiencing today, and the future prospects of those transformations, starting with the future of American hegemony over the world, and the competition that that hegemony is exposed to, with Russia’s efforts to restore its position as a global pole, the change in Europe’s position in the world and the decline in its central historical role; in return the rise of China’s role as a global pole that threatens Western hegemony over the international system, all the way to the increasingly fragmented and marginalized Arab world.
