This study offers a critical analytical reading on the history of Western modernity, revealing the often hidden dark side of modernity. It aims to achieve several objectives, the most important of which: deconstructing the modernist discourse centered around the Western entity, exposing its racist and inhuman conduct towards the colonized societies, and confronting the myth of Western genetic superiority entwined in its racism. The study concludes that the colonial history of Western modernity was dark, and that Western civilization was of a sadistic nature. Its actions toward occupied societies confirm this, and all the myths spread by Westerners about their racial and civilizational superiority were ideologically driven. Modernity itself was a trap, part of the traps set by capitalist colonial Western powers to market their invasion and occupation of other nations.<\/p>\n

\u2b1c\u2003Media and Environmental Awareness Development in the <\/em>Arab World<\/em>\u2002\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u2002Said Chougag\u00a0 29<\/p>\n

This study aims to clarify the extent to which media, in its various forms, contributes to building a collective environmental awareness to confront climate change in the Arab world. It also aims to describe and examine the complex relationship between media and climate change. The study further explains how environmental media has struggled in raising awareness and building environmental consciousness in the context of a fluctuating global climate. It concludes with two results: First, collective awareness of the importance of a healthy environment, which is a prerequisite for a healthy life, does not arise spontaneously but requires effective environmental media. Second, media in its various forms can address climate change issues from a purely professional perspective.<\/p>\n

Resistance movements around the world enjoy a set of privileges and rights granted by international law, both customary and written. However, the subjection of these legal norms to colonial powers dominance in the global system has made them vulnerable to various distortions, causing the rights and legitimate demands of occupied peoples to be lost in the process. In this context, Israel exploited Al-Aqsa Flood operation to portray the resistance as a terrorist group without the legitimacy of armed struggle. Israel sought to grant itself legitimacy for the killing, intimidation, and displacement activities it practices on the Gaza Strip under the guise of self-defense, transforming it into state terrorism in a way that accepts field facts while contradicting international human rights laws.<\/p>\n

This study examines one of the fundamental components of Moroccan political life, represented by the leftist movement, which has always aligned itself with the opposition, particularly during the period extending from independence to what is now known as the government of consensus alternation. The study tracks its organizational transformations through various stages, moving from what was called the \u00abtraditional left\u00bb represented by the National Union\/Popular Socialist Party and the Liberation\/Progress and Socialism Party, to later forms of the \u00abradical left,\u00bb a political current primarily focused on critiquing the directions of the \u00abmother\u00bb parties from which it originated. The study asks whether the left was able to form a political force within the political system to challenge the political regime in Morocco.<\/p>\n

Since its independence, Algeria has suffered from a deep identity crisis caused by decades of French colonialism, which contributed to a fracture in culture and identity. Cultural values and identity issues in Algeria have become subjects of debate and conflict, reaching the point of struggle, so that the crisis of the state, societal events, and its real problems can only be understood in light of two conflicting directions in Algerian society (Modernists and Arabists). This article seeks to examine one of the most important indicators of cultural-political division in Algeria, highlighting key moments in the reform of the educational system, particularly the history subject. Every attempt to reform history education brings with it a contentious clash that reflects the depth of the identity crisis and the severity of the division within both society and the elite.<\/p>\n

This study comes in the context of a highly sensitive and dangerous Palestinian, Arab, international, and humanitarian political situation, namely the ongoing Zionist aggression against Gaza Strip. This aggression employs genocide and the destruction of all means of life as tools to implement its colonial, settler plan to empty the region of its original inhabitants, with full support from Western powers, led by the United States, and complicity from what is called the international community. This study conducts a historical comparison between the crimes committed in Algeria between 1830 and 1962 and those committed in Palestine from 1948 to 2024, to examine the similarities and differences between them, and the lessons and insights that can be drawn from these events.<\/p>\n

It examines the psychology of denial that is seen today in Gaza, where the Zionist entity openly commits genocide and denies that it is a crime, presenting it as self-defense. The study explores the psychology of denial and recognition, the material, ideological, and strategic motives of the perpetrator, and the philosophy of oppression and fascism. The aim is to identify common factors between different violent cases through analyzing some genocidal crimes, reconstructing them, interpreting them, and making comparisons between them.<\/p>\n
